Emergency calls

In an emergency please use the European emergency phone number 112. This is the single phone number you should use to report a crime (if it is currently taking place), when someone is in immediate danger or there is a risk of serious damage to property. Once the operator establishes the type of emergency, your call will be diverted to emergency medical services, fire department of police. Calling 112 is free of charge.

When you call 112, please make sure to share the following information:

  • Where is the emergency taking place? (city/town, name of the street, details that can help the operator identify the location – for example by the park, by the court building, in front of a monument etc.),

  • What is happening and what kind of help you need?

  • How many persons are at risk and what kind of injuries they have?

  • your name and phone number.
